Lusid Art caught up with KISS to ask him a couple of questions around his inflences and artistic process.
What/who are you main influences?
I get most of my lettering influence from 80’s NYC graffiti and some of the current Scandinavian style writers. For my characters I look at pin-up/fashion illustrations and try put my own spin on it.
What’s your process?
For painting walls it is the same as most graffiti writers. For illustrations I usually look for a bunch of reference images and try make it all balance in pencil, then once I’m ready I do the outlines in ink. Then finally colouring it out in ink markers inside the lines to the best of my ability.
